Camp Policies:
It is the desire of Gulf Coast Bible Camp that every camper have the opportunity for a safe and uplifting camping experience. All rules for participation in camp activities are established to ensure the well being of everyone, camper and staff alike. Rules are enforced without regard to race, religion, gender, or nationality. A fun-filled, action-packed, and spiritually edifying adventure is better facilitated when campers have the security of knowing their boundaries. Therefore, all campers are expected to act in a Christ-like manner.
1) Campers are to be good stewards of camp buildings and grounds.

2) Campers are not permitted to leave the grounds without the permission of the session's Camp Director.

3) Boys are not allowed to enter the girls' cabin, bathhouse, or cabin area and girls are not allowed to enter the boys' cabin, bathhouse, or cabin area.

4) Cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, portable DVD players, video games, computers and other similar electronic equipment are not permitted on the camp grounds.

5) Campers will respect the staff's authority and follow their lead.

6) All vehicles must be parked in the parking lot and are not to be used during the camp session.

7) Possession or use of alcohol, tobacco (in any form), illegal drugs, and/or drug paraphernalia is prohibited. The abuse of any controlled substance, including prescription or over-the-counter drugs, will not be tolerated. A zero-tolerance policy for this rule will be enforced.
Clothing Policy:
All clothing worn at camp must conform to Christian standards of modesty. The following clothing guidelines are enforced by the camp.

  • Camp policy requires that all shorts and skirts be no more than 2 inches above the knees.
  • Clothes with slogans or ads related to tobacco, alcohol, sex, profanity, violence, or other ungodly subject matter are not permitted.
  • Clothing that allows the midriff or cleavage to show, is see through, or excessively tight must be left at home. Additionally, all tops must fit securely around the upper arms.

Camp Rules:
Those who disregard any of the below rules will be sent home at the parent's expense and no refund will be given.
What to Bring to Camp:
Bible
With Bible classes conducted daily, you don't want to be without it.
Bedding
Bring your pillow & something to sleep on (twin size mattresses)
Clothes
Bring enough clothes for 6 days & pack extra for safe measure
Shoes
Don't just bring sandals; pack shoes & socks for sports & activities
Swim Gear
Pack a bathing suit & anything else you need for daily swim time
Towels
Bring multiple towels for showers & swimming
Toiletries
Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, & other essentials
Flashlight
For those nightime walks to the bathhouse or special evening events
Bug Spray
Summertime at camp means bugs at camp so come prepared
Rain Gear
Downpours happen at camp and a jacket or umbrella will be useful
Money
Don't forget to bring money to buy snacks at canteen & a camp t-shirt
